In related news of worthwhile expense--Sally Hansen Salon Effects! I have the hounds-tooth pattern, "Check It Out", and can't wait to see how long they last for in my line of work. Today is Day Two and all is well, but we all know that after being at work for 13 hrs. on Wed, by the time I get home on Thurs my nail polish looks like a normal person's 10-day old manicure. But I had such amazing results with the CND Shellac (getting my second dose May 23) that I am optimistic for the SH Salon Effects.
They are pretty much real polish, in sticker/decal form. This is my first attempt, and not even with the "correct" sized decal for my finger and I think it looks pretty wicked. If things go well I definitely am picking up more. It's between $8-$10 (depending where you buy) for 16 strips and considering a whole set would look too busy I'm only going to do one or two fingers per hand at a time. Although, if I buy "Laced Up" I may do a full set. So super stoked! I've been wanting Minx since I first heard about it, but am a broke student... so this is def the next best thing.
